Microsoft ermöglicht jetzt dem Teams Client, in einem Media Bypass Szenario, mit der internen IP Adresse des Session Border Controller zu sprechen. Bisher war dies nicht möglich und der Client musste zwingend mit der öffentlichen IP des SBC sprechen.
Das hatte zur Folge, dass unter anderem die Security Abteilung vor die Herausforderung gestellt war mit einem Firewall-Pinhole umzugehen. Das ist dann ein Port, der nicht durch die Firewall geschützt ist.

Microsoft now allows the Team Client to talk to the internal IP address of the Session Border Controller in a media bypass scenario.
